Amitabh Bachchan Indirectly Endorsed Apple iPhone - Major Branding Setback for Samsung

In ongoing trouble around Samsung Galaxy Note 7, Samsung requested exiting device owner to return the device and get the replacement.

Samsung tried to fix the problem and announced that in the 4th week of Sept 2016, they will release the new device with better battery but were forced to postpone it.

In the meantime, Indian Cinema Super Star Mr. Amitabh Bachchan in frustration posted a message to Samsung about the software controlled battery charging limit. He posted his comment on his official Facebook page and we all know that he is one of most liked personality worldwide with millions of followers.

Interestingly, he asked Samsung about the status otherwise he will move to Apple iPhone which indirectly demonstrate that iPhone feature and functionality will meet his requirement.

In my point of view, the comment from Superstar like Amitabh Bachchan about iPhone endorses Apple iPhone device as good devices.

It will hurt Samsung brand heavily as Superstar unintentionally gave Galaxy Note 7 alternative. The message went viral and believes that 10's of millions of users domestically and internationally must have viewed it.

In that scenario, any potential buyer if Samsung who went through his comment will off course consider iPhone device variant too.

I will not be surprised if Samsung comes out with very poor sales number for July to Sept 2016. I also believe that even after Galaxy Note 7, the acceptability will be very low.
