Indian Smartphone market size was about to reach the situation even though many players or analyst were very optimistic about growth. Most of the global analyst firm cut through forcast of India Smartphone market size for FY16.

I predicted 110 million device for FY 16. The sudden change in Telecom service dynamics and entry of Reliance jio with free 4G plan triggered excitement it's true that Reliance Jio service work on 4G device but device market player started competing to offer 4G LTE devices which is compatible with Reliance jio network.

The successful acquisition of 16 million in the first month will also propel higher smartphone.
It is expected that Reliance Jio will continue to attract many million users onto its network and many new 4G service user will act instrumental in pushing up the shipment for Q4,FY 17 shipment. Based on current trend, PoS level feeler, the Smartphone shipment may come closer to 33 million during last quarter and smartphone players should be thankful to Reliance Jio.

It will be interesting to see the trends once the numbers are out.
